Bought off the internet without a fuse or fuse holder in sight - definitely substandard for our strict electrical safety legislation.

Please don’t be as lazy as the person who wired u this plug, that’s the live wire (Brown) that you can see, power cord should be held by the cable grip in the plug with 100% integrity and insulated

Fan Heaters are the biggest source of house fires See what happens draws more power than the plug/socket can cope with. Plug has overheated and welded itself into the socket the next step would have been a fire.
